We talked about sand dredge pump capacity-head (Q-H) working point system, with the cross point to pump flow and working head, this news are showing the working range of a pump-pipeline system.
Under the Q-H curve, we know that enlarger working capacity to sand dredge pump leads to lower working head, whereas, less sand pump flow tends to high head, in actual working condition, there are many flexible changes, such as solid density, pipeline length, fittings, properties of soil etc, so sand pump are working in a period of range rather than at a working fixed point.
From the point of view, we need to consider the performance curve in pipeline resistance for water and mixture of soil, beside of that, we need to consider the working efficiency of the pump performance, we always select the point or the range in pump acting in higher efficiency.
Several stages for pump pipeline system need to be considered in the followings:
1. When pump starts in the beginning, highly percentage of water and lower percentage of soil flows into the pump through suction rubber hose and discharge HDPE pipe.
2. When the dredger starts, slurry mixed with water and the soiled sucked into the sand dredger pump, and the discharge pipe is performed as water only.
3. The third step is when suction hose and discharge pipe are full filled by soil mixture.
4. To the end of the cycle, when the ladder is lifting up, the suction pipe and sand pump are with water only, and mixture are full in discharge pipe.
