How to adjust dredge pump couplings?
Sand Dredge Pump
Horizonal sand dredge pump are coupled with diesel engine directly or with diese engine gearbox. How to adjust the level of pump with the driving force to aviod coupling elastric ring or pump shaft broken.
1. Adjust the coupling by using feeler and the ruler. The outer circle of the coupling with the knife edge to ensure that each pair of couplings is flush in all directions, and the maximum error should be no more than 0.1mm (Figure 1). Check the gap between each pair of couplings with a feeler gauge, and the clearance should be greater than 1mm, while the maximum error δ (δ = δ1 - δ2) is not more than 0.1mm
2. Use a magnetic dial indicator with a feeler gauge to balance the coupling, fix the magnetic dial indicator to the outer circumference of the coupling and drive, and place the side of the dial indicator on the outer circumference of the opposite coupling. The dial indicator beating should not be larger than 0.15mm (Figure c). Check the gap between each pair of couplings with a feeler gauge. The clearance should be greater than 1 mm, but the maximum error δ (δ = δ1 - δ2) is not more than 0.1 mm (Figure b).
