Principles of Slurry Pump Shaft Seal Selection in Coal Washing Industry
China Do pump offers slurry pump, includes heavy duty slurry pump, light duty slurry pump, horizontal slurry pump, vertical slurry pump, submersible slurry pump, dredging pump, including on board dredge pump, ladder dredge pump, booster dredge pump, submersible sand dredge pump, slurry pump, sand pump, dredge pump, submersible dredge pump, which is also called heavy duty agitator pump, submersible sand pump, submersible dredge pump, or submersible sludge pump, which can handle sand, gravel, rock, solid with water dredging and piping.
The on-site conditions of the coal washing industry are not the same, some have sufficient water sources, and some are short of water sources. Depending on the water source, the appropriate shaft seal can be selected. The above three shaft sealing methods require a certain amount of shaft sealing water except for grease lubrication. The specific requirements are shown in the table below. When the water volume and water pressure meet the requirements of the slurry pump shaft seal water, it is recommended that the auxiliary impeller power seal (auxiliary impeller + packing) be the first choice. The shaft seal water pressure can meet the requirements, the slurry will not enter the auxiliary impeller sealing cavity and the stuffing box, and it will not cause abnormal wear on the auxiliary impeller, shaft (shaft sleeve) and stuffing box. This type of shaft seal is widely used in coal washing systems due to its low cost, dredging pump, and easy maintenance. If there is a shortage of water source on site or the water pressure cannot meet the requirements of the slurry pump shaft seal water, the auxiliary impeller power seal (auxiliary impeller + packing) grease lubrication should be carefully selected. If the shaft seal water pressure fails to meet the requirements, the slurry will enter the auxiliary impeller sealing cavity and the stuffing box, causing a certain amount of wear on the auxiliary impeller, shaft (sleeve) and stuffing box, and accumulating to a certain extent, the shaft seal will fail. . Part of it is still used in coal washing systems. In order to maximize the service life, it is recommended that the auxiliary impeller, stuffing box and other parts are made of wear-resistant materials.
