After the slurry pump unit is installed and adjusted, it can be tested. Conditional users should first use clean water for trial operation, and then transport the medium after normal operation.
1. China Slurry Pump Start
1) Turn on the shaft seal water and adjust the pressure to the specified value;
2) Fully open the inlet valve;
3) Open the water injection valve to inject water into the pump (inverted pump does not need to inject water);
4) Adjust the opening of the outlet valve to 1/4;
5) Start the unit. After the rotation speed is normal, open the outlet pressure gauge. If the pressure is normal and stable, slowly open the outlet valve until it is fully opened or meets the requirements of the working conditions.
Note: Starting the pump with the outlet valve fully opened will cause the motor to overload; using a closed inlet valve to control the flow will cause cavitation of the pump and should be avoided.
2. China Slurry Pump Operation
After normal operation, the following items should be observed:
1) Whether the flow and head of the pump (outlet and inlet pressure) are stable and meet the process requirements;
2) Whether the current is stable;
3) Whether the unit has abnormal sound and whether the noise is too loud;
4) Whether the shaft seal leakage is normal (drip seepage);
5) The bearing temperature rise is 35℃, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 75℃.
3. China Slurry Pump Stop
1) Before stopping the pump, pump clean water for 30 minutes to clean the medium in the pump and the pipe.
2) Close the pump outlet valve.
3) Stop the machine and turn off the corresponding shaft seal water and cooling water.
4) Close the pump inlet valve.
Note: Never stop the pump when the outlet valve is fully open, otherwise it is easy to form water hammer and cause damage to the pump or pipe fittings
