Precautions for slurry pump series application:
The design flow of each pump in series operation should be close, try to make each pump can work in the area; if the difference between the pumps is too large, check whether there is a danger of overload when the small pump is running.
When running in series, the starting sequence of the water pump unit should be coordinated. Start pump 1 first, and then move pump 2 after normal operation. Otherwise, cavitation may occur in the subsequent stage water pump.
When running in series, the water pressure in the next-stage water pump increases, and strength verification should be carried out if necessary. Generally, only two pumps are connected in series.
At present, desulfurization pumps are rarely used in series operation of slurry pumps in water supply and drainage projects, but our common multi-stage pumps are essentially multiple impellers of slurry pumps running in series.
